User Experience is an important aspect of application development that is largely ignored by most developers. In some cases, developers assume UX refers to User Interface (UI). Usability is critical to user productivity in order to cope with the ever-growing demands and complexity of any business environment. The Oracle Applications User Experience (OAUX) team has not only published guidelines, patterns and standards to develop usable applications but have also made available Rapid Development Kits to jumpstart development. In this presentation, Oracle ACE Director Basheer Khan will explain why UX is important and describe how to leverage the resources provided by the Oracle UX team. A live application developed using the Oracle UX RDK will also be demonstrated.
